HDZ leader Tomislav Karamarko visited Croats in Canada.



Tomislav Karamarko, leader of Croatia's biggest opposition party, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), spoke about the situation in Croatia and his party's vision of the future, the main features of its platform for the country's economic recovery and cooperation between Croats in Croatia and the Croat emigrant communities at a formal dinner in Canada, which was attended by several hundred Croatians living in Canada, the HDZ said in a statement on Sunday.

The Croatian emigrant community, which played a big role in the establishment of a free and independent Croatia, told the HDZ delegation that it wanted to continue contributing to the unity of Croats in Croatia and the emigrant community and to the creation of conditions for a better future for the country, reads the statement.

Karamarko is heading a party delegation on a visit to Canada.
