The first working day of Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic.

At the first working day on Thursday 19-th February, Croatian President and Supreme Forces Commander Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic was welcomed by the Honour Guard Battalion at the presidential complex at Pantovcak in Zagreb. She reviewed the battalion and entered her office at Villa Zagorje.
The president Grabar-Kitarovic arrived at Pantovcak at 8.30am accompanied by the presidential aide-de-camp, Colonel Vlado Culina. The commander of the Honour Guard Battalion, Brigadier Dragan Basic, reported to the President after which she reviewed the battalion and saluted it.
Grabar-Kitarovic will not sit in her office at the desk used by her predecessor Ivo Josipovic, but at the desk used by the first Croatian president, Franjo Tudjman.
Grabar-Kitarovic's associates Jadranka Juresko Kero, Natalija Hmelina and Mladen Pavic were with her today in her office.
President wisited Croatian veterans in Savkska street
At the first working day on Thursday at 17 o clock Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic has visited Croatian veterans and invalids of the Homeland War who protesting for four months outside the Veterans' Ministry in Zagreb to come to her office. She invited them come to her office, and the president of the association of war invalids, Djuro Glogski, accepted the invitation.
"I have come to tell you that during my term I will care for all veterans and victims of the Homeland War, for families of victims and all invalids of the Homeland War, civilian victims, and I will actively advocate that all those issues that are bothering you to be resolved and that we open a dialogue about them. As such, I am inviting you to come to the office of the president next week and that we sit down and start that dialogue," Grabar-Kitarovic said, keeping her promise that on the first day of taking office she would visit the protesting veterans.
She confirmed that she had appointed Ante Deur as her adviser for veterans.
